Join us for an introduction to the radical and adventurous films made by theorist and filmmaker Laura Mulvey and her collaborators. Programmer Lilia Pavin-Franks will provide the context for the films, going beyond the canonical ‘Visual Pleasure and Narrative Cinema’ essay to share an overview of Mulvey's influential critical writing, and discuss its relationship to her work as a filmmaker.
